Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management
This course covers the planning for, starting and managing of a small business. Students evaluate the options for entering into a small business and the pros and cons of the forms of ownership. Topics include financing the small business, the use of accounting as a management tool, legal constraints of interest to small businesses and the development of realistic marketing plans. Unique issues of family businesses and work life/family life balance are included.
